Church-State Watchdog Group Says Hastings Law School Is Right To Refuse Aid To Christian Legal Society Chapter That Rejects Non-Christians, Gays

A public university is right to deny funding to a student group that discriminates on the basis of religion and sexual orientation, according to Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

This particular type of argument never ceases to amuse me.  Religious folk demand the right to be as exclusive and discriminatory as they want and still have the hubris to demand that we pay ‘em for it.  It’s not like they don’t already receive tax incentives to be insipid gits who refuse to help anyone who they consider to be an abomination before the eyes of God.

 And then, when an organization that doles out my tax dollars says, “Ummm…  No.  You can’t have any money because you’re not applying the money, that’s intended for everyone on the campus, in a fair and constitutionally sound way” they pitch an absolute fit.

“You’re discriminating against me!  You’re infringing on my right to free religion!”

No, you whiney little sacks of shit.  They’re not.  The fact that they haven’t lit you on fire for being an ass demonstrates that.  No.  What they are doing is saying, “Sure, you can run your little gay bashing club but we also have the right to decline your request for funds”.

I’m not terribly familiar with the 9th Court of Appeals.  I also have no idea where Hastings College of Law is.  But based upon numerous past rulings, I think the Christians are fucked.  They won’t have to disband but the funds’ll still be denied to them.
