Ian blows out the candles!

A bit of a more recent photo of my lil’ pirate, the Dread Pirate Ian Robert.

This is my cute little guy on the USS Constitution, aka Old Iron Sides. It’s kind of an old photo (last year, if memory serves) but he still wanted to be a buckaneer!

Not a day after the election and what does the White House do? They ask Congress to up the debt ceiling! Sure, Bush’ll cut your taxes but he has to put the country into hock to do it. My kid is going to be so screwed because you cretins voted for this administration. I sure hope that $400 is worth it.

Behold, the cutest baby in the Cosmos! Ian!

Okay, so technically it’s “daycare” but yesterday was Ian’s first day at school. He did amazingly well. I called the place after about three hours to see how my little guy was doing and they said he was so calm and collected about the whole thing. In fact, they were surprised that he’d never been to school before.

I dropped him off around 8:00 and his face lit up when he saw all the toys he had access to. I gave him a kiss or two goodbye and left my prince in the hands of some folks Ian had never met. It was sad in a way. Up until now he’s always had his sitter, Kristin taking care of him. Now he’d have to get used to a whole new environment.

When I went to pick him up (a couple hours early because I didn’t want him to have to hang out too long on his first day), I got a HUGE hug from my little boy. It was so cool. He adapted really well.

As it turns out Ian can also speak Russian. Who knew? One of the teachers is Russian and Ian kept going to the door and saying the Russian word for “#8221;. I have no idea where he would have picked that up.

Anyway, his next venture to school is tomorrow. I hope it’ll go just as well.

My kid is so much cooler than me! He’s a Ramone’s fan! We listen to alot of music when we’re driving around in the car and he’s taken a real liking to the Ramones. The other day we were driving around and “Beat on the Brat” was playing. At one point Joey says, “Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah! Oh!”. Guess what I hear from the back seat? A sweet little piping voice saying, “Oh Yeah!”

He is so damned cute. He does the same thing during “Blitzkrieg Bop” He’ll chime in with “Let’s Go!” right after Joey says it.

Now if he didn’t have a thing for Avril’s music he’d have stellar taste! Everytime he hears “SK8er Boi” he says “Wow!” or “Oh, boy!”. What a little rocker!
