My second show for Eve Radio was a success!

Here it is for your listening pleasure:

If you’re anything like me you have a HUGE music collection and even though you’ve got gigs and gigs of tunes you find yourself listening to a very small subset of your entire library. Sites like Last.fm, Yahoo!

Okay, the kids on the MediaMonkey forums only offer the 3.1 (beta) version of the Last.FM node. That's not cool. So here's the version that'll work with 3.0.

I've also included the latest version for MediaMonkey 3.1.

The forum that contains troubleshooting and installation instructions can be found at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24879

If you are using MM 3.0 you'll want to grab the Lastfm_DJ.zip file.

If you are using MM 3.1 you'll want to grab the LastFMNode.mmip file.

The Origin of Satan

Is this not perfect?

So I posted a tutorial on cleaning up MP3 tags on Bukisa.

Check it out, comment, rate it. I laugh at your scorn:

So. I've been thinking about how to merge music libraries. There's tons of reasons why it's important:

1. You nab a buddy's library.
2. You find a bed mate who moves in and you want to merge music libraries.

The list goes on and on and on... I'm, of course, partial to #2.

Here's the problem: Most music library systems will help you find duplicates but it's really hit or miss and it's distressingly manual.

What would a program need to do in order to merge two libraries (or more accurately, add an external library to the defined master)?

An open letter to the stupid bitch who decided to kick her tonsils by posting the following in an atheist/agnostic parenting board I (used to) participate in:

"Dont you think you should let your children decided for themselves if they want to believe in God i mean i dont think you should bad mouth God or people who believe in Him around your children because they have a right to know about Him and choose what they want to believe, you people are pretty rude!"

Sounds like a fun night to me...

"Dream of the Witches' Sabbath" features a four-part structure after an eerie introduction in E flat. The Beloved's melody is the main theme of Part I, now, however, distorted and vulgarized by clarinets. Distant bells introduce Part II, in which bassoons and tuba play the Gregorian Dies irae. Part III is the Witches' Dance, a fugue that Berlioz called a ronde. Part IV combines the Dies irae and Witches' Dance until the latter triumphs, electrifyingly.

I love this movement.

OMM!!!!! I just snorted beer outta my nose. http://www.myspace.com/mcego

The first track is brilliant. Big Trouble in Little China! How cool is that?

Okay. This is much more the John I remember from the day. I am a smidge annoyed that there's no reference to Tideblowfish on the site but what can ya do.

I'm actually a HUGE fan o' this tune. The bass is really __ed up coming through my speakers and I've got to say John doesn't need the effects on his voice but it's so reminiscent of all the jamming we did when I was a boy that I'm thrown back in time in a really slighly kinda awful sorta way.

Good show, sir!
